Meet Rebecca
At t’arvo, we believe that when parents grow, families flourish.
Drawing on over 20 years of educational experience, pastoral leadership and psychology-informed practice, Rebecca brings together practical wisdom, compassionate mentoring and evidence-informed strategies to help parents better understand their children, nurture emotional wellbeing and build stronger relationships.
Through meaningful conversations, personalised guidance and supportive communities, t’arvo empowers parents to navigate challenges with confidence, nurture their children's potential and bring lasting hope into their homes.
Rebecca Vagenende brings over 20 years of experience in education, student wellbeing and community leadership. Her work and volunteer service have shaped a deep concern for the wellbeing of children, families and the people who support them.
Experience rooted in education and care
Rebecca taught in Ministry of Education (MOE) schools, specialising in mathematics education and pastoral care, with experience in classroom teaching, student wellbeing and community leadership. She now offers warm, person-centred maths support in Singapore for children and young people from early childhood to about age 19. She supports children and young people with a wide range of learning and developmental needs, including those in special-school settings, helping them build confidence, practical life skills and work-readiness skills as appropriate to their individual pathways.
She is also the founder of Rebecca V Maths Haven in Singapore, where she offers warm, tailored mathematics learning support, including focused PSLE preparation and private sessions for children, as well as practical masterclasses that equip parents to walk their children’s learning journeys with confidence.
Learning, wellbeing and service
Continuing her learning
Rebecca has completed all taught modules of her MSc Psychology at the University of Liverpool and is currently undertaking her dissertation on teacher wellbeing and work-life boundaries in Singapore’s digitally connected school environment.
She also has additional training in cognitive behavioural therapy, specialising in anxiety disorders, as well as mental wellness, mental toughness and resilience.
A commitment to community
Nearly two decades of volunteer service, including her work at the Institute of Mental Health (soon to be known as the National Centre for Mental Health), have shaped her warm, hopeful desire to bring light and hope to wards, staff and communities. This journey deepens her belief in meaningful relationships, compassionate action and gently welcoming others who wish to join and contribute to this work of hope.

Let Hope Grow.
Let’s bring hope.
